Top Congress leader says Jammu, Kashmir under dictatorship for past one year
NEW DELHI: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has said that Jammu and Kashmir has been under dictatorship for the past one year.
In a tweet, she said that Baharatiya Janata Party was trampling democracy.
Meanwhile, another senior Congress leader Palaniappan Chidambaram has called upon all political parties in India to think about the virtual prison that Kashmiris are living in for the past one year.
In a series of tweets, he said the world was watching the brazen denial of human rights in India and country’s record as a free and democratic country is diminishing every day.
On the other hand, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has said that Narendra Modi was telling lies about India’s border standoff with China.
Quoting a news report in which Indian Ministry of Defence official admitted to Chinese intrusion in Ladakh, Rahul Gandhi asked on Twitter, “Why is the Prime Minister lying?”.
Meanwhile, Indian media is reporting that the document admitting Chinese intrusion has vanished from the website of Indian Defence Ministry.
The document was published on the ministry’s web on Tuesday.
