Three terrorists involved in the Ashura explosion killed

Three terrorists involved in the Ashura blast were killed in Pakpattan on Wednesday morning during an intelligence-based operation undertaken by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).
According to the police, the militants were involved in the Bahawalnagar Ashura explosion.
On August 20, At least three people were killed in a bomb explosion near a 10th Muharram procession in Punjab’s Bahawalnagar injuring 50 more.
One suspect, Manzoor, had been apprehended by the police and was being detained by the mourners’ section of the march.

According to a spokesman, a raid was conducted out in Pakpattan based on intelligence obtained from Manzoor.
According to him, the terrorists and CTD personnel exchanged fire, resulting in the deaths of three terrorists.

Earlier this year, on August 20, a bomb explosion occurred near the 10th Muharram procession in Punjab’s Bahawalnagar and injured more than 50 people.
As the religious minority commemorated Ashura, on10th of the holy month of Muharram, which has been a hotspot for sectarian bloodshed in previous years, security was tight.
Social media videos were seen circulating, which showed bleeding victims lying on the road being helped by public members.
A senior government official in Bahawalnagar, in Punjab province, confirmed the number of deaths and injuries after the blast.
