Three labourers killed in Karachi factory fire

KARACHI: Three workers have died as fire erupted in a factory in Sector 5, Baldia Town area of Karachi, on Tuesday night.

The fire was controlled after an effort of several hours with the help of four bowsers. The factory has been burnt to ashes inflicting millions of rupees loss to the owners, who have been arrested by police for interrogation.

The provincial minister, Sohail Anwar Siyal arrived at the site of the incident to look over the situation. He said as per experts the fire seemed to have started due to short circuit. However, he said, anything conclusive could be said only after the probe was completed.

The victims have been identified as Muhammed Kazim, Fayyaz and Ali Sher.
