Three FC personnel martyred in attack on North Waziristan check post
NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Three Frontier Corps personnel were martyred and three others wounded in an attack carried out by Tehreek-e-Taliban militants on Tiyarzah check post in North Waziristan on Wednesday.
The injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment. Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation in Faqeer Killay village and other nearby areas of tehsil Khaisurah.
Military sources said that the Tehreek-e-Taliban militants attacked with small and big weapons in the dead of night. Those martyred have been identified as Naik Ali Zar Baitni, Lance Naik Asim and soldier Babar Mohmand. While injured have been identified as soldier Hazrat Hussain, soldier Sardar Shah Kundi and soldier Imran.
On June 9, 10 mine-clearing workers were killed by the Tehreek-e-Taliban in the northern Afghan province of Baghlan.
The Afghan interior ministry spokesman Tareq Arian had said “The Taliban entered a compound of a mine-clearing agency and started shooting everyone”.
