Thousands of liters of contaminated oil supply seized in Dera Ismail Khan

PESHAWAR: KP Food Authority conducted a major operation in Dera Ismail Khan.
A large consignment of substandard crude oil was recovered from a warehouse in Zafarabad.
According to Director Operations Dr Azmat, substandard oil was being supplied for use in various food items.
Thousands of liters of the contaminated oil was seized by the government. The oil could have spread various diseases to its condition, the DO explained.
The perpetrators have been arrested and the warehouse sealed.
With the help of public intelligence, the noose has been tightened around mafia and health individuals, said DG Sohail Khan.
All corners of the province have the right to take action against the mafia, he said.
The Food Authority has always been active in providing safe and clean food to the people, the DG added.
