ISLAMABAD: Expressing her views regarding the ongoing ‘Azadi March’, a European journalist has suggested the opposition parties to hold talks in the parliament to resolve matters with the government as Pakistan was already going through financial crunch.
“In every democracy you have the right to protest, but because Pakistan is in such a mess if you look at the economic situation then I think that this protest is not going to change everything (for better),” she said.
She suggested Jamiat Ulema e Islam chief Maulana Fazl ur Rehman to use parliaments. “There is the place of the opposition where you can fight with the government if you don’t agree.” The journalist said because of the sit-in protest in the capital territory children were not going to school and offices were closed.
“I think you should first sit at the table, but I feel it’s just a game. It is a political game that I see between all the political parties,” she said.
