These siblings living in hiding to save their lives from step-brothers

RAWALPINDI: A brother and a sister are living in hiding for quite some time after their parents were allegedly murdered by their step-brothers and a paternal uncle for getting possession of their assets.
On March 28, some unknown assailants shot the man, Mobeen Khan, before their house. They did not stop here and lodged a case against their mother, Sumaira Safdar, in a bid to force her to come to court, which she did. After attending the court, she was shot dead when she was on her way back to her house.
“The car used to attack my mother belonged to one of the accused,” Nazo Shinwari said in a post.
After murdering their father, the step brothers had threatened that they would kill them all.

After Mobeen Khan was killed, his wife had written several letters to the concerned authorities such as the SHO, regional police officer, chief justice, chief minister and prime minister’s citizen portal.
An attempt was made to poison Shershah Shinwari, brother of Nazo Shinwari, in jail.
“I started getting toxic food. Police immediately took action and the unidentified people at the police station vanished. My life was in danger. The police officials told that my step brothers were trying to kill me,” said the brother.
Mobeen Khan had given most of his assets to his second wife, but the step brothers were also given a fair share, as per Nazo. “Yet they came after my mother saying that ‘how dare you give our property to a woman,” she said.
The alleged suspects are politically influential people.
