 ‘There will be no exhumation of Aamir Liaquat’s body’, tweets Bushra Iqbal

A district and sessions court set aside an order regarding the exhumation and postmortem of late Aamir Liaquat Hussain.

Bushra Iqbal, Former wife of renowned television personality late Aamir Liaquat Hussain shared the news on her Twitter handle that ‘there will be no exhumation of a dead body’.

Dua Liaquat, late Aamir Liaquat’s daughter, petitioned the district and sessions court in Karachi East against the decision of the judicial magistrate, and now the judge rendered the decision.

Taking to Twitter, Bushra Iqbal wrote, “Alhumdulillah Allah ne haq ko surkhuroo kia… We got the success in Marhoom #AamirLiaquat exhumation case. The honourable court allowed the revision and set aside the order of the Magistrate. There will be no exhumation of a dead body. Will share the details soon. Allah is Kareem”.

Aamir Liaquat was buried in Karachi’s Abdullah Shah Ghazi graveyard after being found dead at his residence in June earlier this year. In response to a citizen’s plea, Judicial Magistrate East Hussain Memon ordered the exhumation of Aamir’s body and the performance of an autopsy.

Dania Malik, Aamir Liaquat’s third wife, has been also demanding an autopsy on her husband to determine the cause of his sudden death.
