“The year of heartbreaks”: List of celebrities who got separated in 2022
As the year 2022 is about to end, it is leaving behind some good and some heartbreaking memories. This year, like many common people, not all celebrity couples have the same happy fate when it comes to their relationships.
From the breakup of singer Aima Baig with Shehbaz Shigri to the separation between Feroze Khan and Aliza Sultan, some Pakistani celebrities have gone through tough times this year.
Here is the list of celebrity couples who got separated in the year 2022.
Dr Aamir Liaquat (late) and Syeda Tuba Anwar
Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain got married to Tuba Anwar in 2018, and the couple parted ways in February this year.
Tuba Anwar posted on Instagram on February 9 to share the news with her followers. She wrote, “With a heavy heart I want to make people aware of a development in my life. “My close family and friends are aware that after a separation of 14 months, it was evident that there was no hope for reconciliation in sight and I had to opt to take khula from court”.
Keeping in mind that it was the second marriage of Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain (late).
Aima Baig and Shehbaz Shigri
On September 16, 2022, famous Pakistani singer Aima Baig called off her engagement with Shehbaz Shigri. In an Instagram post the singer wrote, “we have parted ways. But we are both doing good and fine, so don’t worry”.
Later, the British model Taloulah Mair has come forward with some serious allegations against Aima and claimed that the singer has allegedly cheated on Shahbaz Shigri with his ex-boyfriend and filmmaker Qes Ahmed.
However, Aima Baig denied all the allegations in a series of Instagram stories.
Feroze Khan and Aliza Sultan
The ex-couple Feroze Khan and Aliza Sultan got married in March 2018 and have 2 kids together.
In September, the ex-couple announced their divorce on social media. The actor’s ex-wife accused him of infidelity, physical and mental abuse whereas Feroze did not comment on the allegations, saying they are in the middle of court proceedings.
Now the former couple is fighting for the custody of their kids in the family court of Karachi.
Sana and Fakhar Jafri
Actress Sana Fakhar and her Husband Fakhar Jafri ended their marriage after 14 years of relationship on October 13.
Sana announced on Instagram that she is no longer together with her husband. She wrote, “Breakups hurt but sometimes, breaking a relationship is so mandatory to save yourself [from] break[ing] so much. With all [due] respect, me and Fakhar, after several years of marriage through highs and lows, [have] decided to take separate paths”.
Sana and Jaffri tied the knot in 2008 and have two sons together.
Imran Ashraf and Kiran Ashfaque
Famously known as “Bhola” actor Imran Ashraf and his former wife Kiran Ashfaque announced their separation on their social media accounts.
The actor took to his Instagram to announce the split with his wife and wrote, “With a heavy heart, we announce that we have mutually and respectfully decided to part ways”.
The actor got married to Kiran Ashfaque in 2018 and the duo are parents to a son named Roham.
Madiha Rizvi and Hasan Noman
In November, actress Madiha Rizvi announced her separation from her husband Hasan Noman after nine years of marriage.
Later, her ex-husband Hasan condemned Madiha’s decision to divorce and wrote on Instagram, “I would like to announce that although our divorce has been finalised, it was not through mutual consent…Madiha exercised her right to divorce which resulted in this decision that I condemn as a Muslim”.
