“The Legend of Maula Jatt” becomes first Pakistani film to earn PKR150 Crore

Pakistan’s mega film The Legend of Maula Jatt has achieved another milestone and becomes Pakistan’s first offering to hit the PKR150 crore mark.
The announcement of this huge milestone was made on the film’s official Twitter account which reads, “Taking the worldwide box office by storm, The Legend of Maula Jatt sets a new record for the Pakistani cinema with 150 Crore!”
Maula Jatt’s director Bilal Lashari also shared this news and feels grateful for the love and support showered by the audience. He wrote, “You did it!”.
The Legend of Maula Jatt has dethroned popular Indian movies at the UK box office in less than 20 days since its release. Previously, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra was edging over Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan’s epic at the UK box office. Now, the Ammara Hikmat production has managed to surpass the Ayan Mukerji directorial as well.
The Legend of Maula Jatt has also surpassed the highest-grossing Indian movie “RRR” lifetime business in just 17 days in the UK.
Before this, Maula Jatt also surpassed Ajay Devgn’s Thank God and Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu, two recently released Bollywood films at the global box office.
A reboot of Yunus Malik’s 1979 cult classic Maula Jutt, the film is a re-telling of the story of the rivalry between Maula Jatt and Noori Natt. Directed by Bilal Lashari and produced by Ammara Hikmat, The Legend of Maula Jatt also stars Fawad Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan, Humaima Malick, Mirza Gohar Rasheed, Faris Shafi, Ali Azmat, Nayyer Ejaz, Shafqat Cheema, Raheela Agha, Zia Khan and Saima Baloch.
