The Legend of Maula Jatt beats highest grossing Indian film “RRR” at UK’s box office

Pakistan’s mega film The Legend of Maula Jatt achieved another milestone by surpassing the highest-grossing Indian movie “RRR” lifetime business.
Another milestone has been achieved by Bilal Lashari’s mega film, as Maula Jatt beats the highest-grossing Indian movie “RRR” lifetime business in just 17 days in the UK.
Before this, Maula Jatt also surpassed Ajay Devgn’s Thank God and Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu, two recently released Bollywood films at the global box office.
Indian film trade analyst Komal Nahta took to Twitter and wrote, “Ram Setu and Thank God at least managed fair collections on day 1 in India on account of the Diwali holiday, but both fared poor Overseas”.
He then pointed out the massive success of Maula Jatt and wrote, “Pakistani film Maula Jatt on 13th day is higher than both Bollywood films on their 1st day”.
A reboot of Yunus Malik’s 1979 cult classic Maula Jutt, the film is a re-telling of the story of the rivalry between Maula Jatt and Noori Natt. Directed by Lashari and produced by Ammara Hikmat, The Legend of Maula Jatt also stars Fawad Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan, Humaima Malick, Mirza Gohar Rasheed, Faris Shafi, Ali Azmat, Nayyer Ejaz, Shafqat Cheema, Raheela Agha, Zia Khan and Saima Baloch.
