 The frogs were not to make burgers and shawarmas

LAHORE: Police have arrested two suspects and recovered 200 kilogram dead frogs from a rickshaw passing through Ravi Bridge. It claimed that the frogs were going to be used in burgers and shawarmas.

But that was not true. The suspects were not taking the frogs to restaurants at all. The men were selling those frogs to a laboratory on Akbari Road which then supplied to medical institutes. Medical students practice suturing and dissection on them.

The Punjab Wildlife Department and Punjab police does not have any issue with the case as it is not a crime to have frogs. The men were released and were free to go with their frogs.
