“The Crown” season 5 featuring Humayun Saeed to hit Netflix on Nov 9
The wait is almost over as season 5 of the most loved series on Netflix “The Crown” will bring its magic on November 9, 2022.
Taking to Twitter, The royal drama’s official account announced that the series would premiere in early November, two months after the Queen’s passing. It’s thought that the fifth instalment will follow the family through the 1990s.
This season, Pakistan’s very own Humayun Saeed will be seen as Dr Hasnat, a heart and lung surgeon who had a two-year-long secret affair with Princess Diana. The actor also confirmed his casting in The Crown by reposting the same on his Instagram.
Imelda Staunton will succeed Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II in the following season, and Jonathan Pryce will portray her husband, Prince Philip. Prince Charles (now King Charles III) will be portrayed by Dominic West, Princess Diana by Elizabeth Debicki, Princess Margaret by Lesley Manville, and Prime Minister John Major by Jonny Lee Miller.
Saeed will join the ensemble cast as Dr Hasnat Khan, a British-Pakistani heart surgeon with whom Diana had a secret affair for two years. It is therefore anticipated that their love affair would be depicted on film in the future season. According to reports, Khan was referred to as “Mr Wonderful” by the “People’s Princess,” who also paid a visit to his family in Lahore in May 1996. According to reports, Diana’s acquaintances referred to Hasnat as the “love of her life” and talked about how upset she was when he broke things off with her in June 1997. Dr. Hasnat also came to Diana’s funeral service.
