 Temperature in Skardu drops to -14 centigrade

Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) is still under the grip of severe cold weather conditions as the temperature in Skardu dropped to -14 degrees centigrade.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has already forecast cold and dry weather in the country while very cold in the upper region.

However, light rain and snow is expected in north Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Gilgit-Baltistan, Pothohar and region of Kashmir.

Shallow fog is likely to prevail in upper Sindh and plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), PMD said.

Lowest temperature were recorded on Saturday with Skardu -15, Astore and Gupis -10, Hunza -10, Kalat -07, Kalam -08, Bagrote -06 and Parachinar -05.

The National Highway and Motorway Police have advised commuters to avoid unnecessary travels.
