Teenager Christian girl gang-raped in Faisalabad
FAISALABAD: A teenager Christian girl was kidnapped and gang-raped in Faisalabad allegedly after she refused to recite Kalima.
This reminds of the same mentality which India’s Hindu extremists have been showing, in which they force Muslims to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’.
The suspects involved in the Christian girl Sunita Masih’s rape also shaved her head. People across Pakistan have expressed outrage over the incident and expressed their anger on social media platforms against the happening.
Many people took to Twitter to condemn the incident. Sharing the news, actress Armeena asked people to raise voice for the Christian victim too along other oppressed people.
“Sunita Masih, a Christian girl from Faisalabad, aged just 14 has allegedly been gang raped. She was asked to recite the Kalma. When she refused her hair was shaved off. So, lots of activism for the innocents elsewhere, great but how about raising our voices here too?” she wrote.
On the other hand, a news published in Jang newspaper apprised that Faisalabad City Police Officer Suhail Chaudhry had declined the report circulating on social media. He said that it was not clear that what was the motive of the torturers and Sukkur police were investigating the incident as the incident took place in their jurisdiction.
