Taliban are afraid of educated girls and empowered women: Malala

Pakistan’s Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai has reacted to the withdrawal of the Taliban’s order against the education of girls.
Reacting on Twitter, Malala Yousafzai said that she hoped that the Afghan girls who would walk to school today would not be sent back but the Taliban did not keep their promise.
“Taliban will continue to look for excuses to stop girls from learning because they are afraid of educated girls and empowered women.” She added.
Yesterday, Taliban had withdrawn the order to open girls’ schools in Afghanistan.
Taliban spokesman Inamullah Samangani confirmed that the girls’ schools had been closed until further notice.
