Taliban acting Foreign Minister will visit Pakistan tomorrow
Afghan Foreign Ministry has confirmed on Tuesday (today) that Taliban acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi will visit Pakistan on November 10 for his first official visit.
Even though Pakistan has still not recognized the current caretaker government in Afghanistan, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi during his visit to Afghanistan invited Amir Khan Muttaqi to attend the Troika Plus meeting which will be held in Islamabad, Pakistan on November 11. Muttaqi accepted the invitation and will arrive in Pakistan on November 10 (tomorrow).
Afghanistan ministry in a statement has mentioned that Amir Khan Muttaqi will meet with the top leadership of Pakistan to discuss important matters.
The current situation and economic crisis in Afghanistan will be an important topic of the meeting along with the ease in visa acquisition will be also discussed with the top officials of Pakistan.
Sources reveal that representatives from Pakistan, China, United States, Russia, and Afghanistan will participate in the meeting which is scheduled to be held on Thursday in Islamabad.
All major countries including Pakistan, China, Russia, and United States have played important role in the establishment of peace in war torn Afghanistan. These countries jointly established a forum and platform named “Troika Plus”. This forum will be used to bring stability and peace to Afghanistan along with addressing issues Afghan people are facing.
