Tabish Gauhar replaces Nadeem Babar as PM’s aide on petroleum

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has removed Nadeem Babar from the post of special assistant to PM on petroleum and appointed Tabish Gauhar on the said post.
The Cabinet Division made the announcement through a notification on Tuesday. Tabish Gauhar has been given this additional charge besides his post of special assistant to PM on power.
Nadeem Babar is alleged of his involvement in corruption and playing a role in triggering fuel crises in the country last year.
On the other hand, PM Khan has assigned the additional portfolio of Finance and Revenue to Muhammad Hammad Azhar, the federal minister for industries and production, with immediate effect.
Earlier, the premier had approved removal of Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh as the finance minister for uncontrollable inflation.
