Aftab Afridi, an anti-terrorism court judge, was gunned down along with wife, daughter-in-law and grandson near Ambar Interchange, Swabi on Sunday night.
According to sources, Afridi was travelling to Islamabad when his vehical was attacked. However, his guard and driver were injured in the incident.
Sources confirmed that an FIR, registered by the deceased’s son, Majid, indicated that the attack was the result of personal enmity.
According to the police, around five people have been arrested having links with the case whom Majib will identify soon.

Meanwhile, the president of Supreme Court Bar Association Abdul Latif Afridi, who is also a suspect in the case, condemned the incident and said that he was ready for any kind of inquiry.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and Prime Minister Imran Khan also condemned the incident. “The perpetrators of this gruesome act will be apprehended & dealt with full severity of the law,” the premier wrote on Twitter.
The KP CM promised that the culprits would soon be brought to justice.
