LAHORE: The incidents of stealing of sacrificial animals have risen in Lahore with Eid-ul-Adha just around the corner.

Dialogue Pakistan has obtained a video footage of one such incident in which seven goats were stolen in the dead of night from a house in Nawab Town, Lahore.

According to details, Mehmood Shah had brought seven goats a day ago to be sacrificed on Eid. The surveillance camera footage clearly shows a thief entering the house and breaking the lock with a cutter. After he opens the door his three accomplices enter the house, steal the goats and load them onto a rickshaw.

The owner of the house has caught the suspected rickshaw driver and handed him over to police. Police have launched an investigation into the incident. According to the FIR, the suspects stole sacrificial animals worth Rs0.28 million.
