Supreme Court orders Sindh govt to vacate govt houses
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has ordered the Sindh government to vacate government houses from illegal occupants within two months.
The Supreme Court heard a suo motu notice on illegal allotment of government houses. The court ordered the Sindh government to vacate the government house from illegal occupants within two months.
The court directed to cancel the illegal allotment and allotment on merit and also sought an implementation report from the Sindh government.
Additional Advocate General Sindh said that 229 government houses in Sindh are illegally occupied, the process of evacuation was stopped due to coronavirus.
The CDA lawyer said that the house of IG Islamabad was also allotted illegally. Islamabad police are occupying our 200 quarters.
Talks were held in this regard but the police are not ready to give up. The Chief Justice said that he would also look into the matter of Islamabad Police at the next hearing.
