The Supreme Court has ordered to reconstruct the schools in Khyber Pankhtunkwa which got destroyed in 2005 Earthquake.
During a suo motu case hearing, a question was raised that why schools are not being re-constructed despite billions being allocated.
According to the court, the schools which were re-built are not functioning properly which portrays that no attention is given to the educational sector.
On 8 October, 2005, a 7.6 magnitude earthquake struck northern Pakistan causing massive devastation.
The earthquake affected an area of almost 30,000 square kilometres; equivalent to the size of Belgium. 75,000 people were killed and some 4 million people were left homeless.
