Following the wheat crisis, sugar prices have risen to Rs3 in Karachi.

100 kg of sugar has become more expensive to Rs300 on the wholesale market. The sugar mill owners increased the sugar prices from Rs70,000 to Rs73,000 by 100 kg.

Prices have gone up by Rs5 since Friday (January 17), according to consumers.

On the other hand, sugar mill owners have said the price hike is due to the increase in spending.
