After six months, Pakistani students stranded in Wuhan, China have returned home.
According to details, a special PIA flight had brought home 274 Pakistani students stranded in Wuhan , China for 6 months.
Sources said a special PIA flight from Wuhan reached Islamabad carrying Pakistani students while the Chinese students’ medical examination is underway at New Islamabad Airport.
The sources further claimed that quarantine will be sent to two hotels on Mall Road Rawalpindi, Katas College Chakwal Quarantine Center, for 48 hours after the students’ medical examination and coronavirus check.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs tweeted, “FS Sohail Mahmood & senior MoFA officers extended warm welcome to Pakistan students returning home by @Official_PIA from #Wuhan Appreciated their courage & perseverance as Wuhan battled #COVID19 & congratulated them on successful completion of studies. #LongLivePakistanChinaFriendship.”
A student in Wuhan said in a video statement that due to the coronavirus, Wuhan has lost contact with China. More than 2,000 Pakistani students of 12 universities in Wuhan are suffering from malnutrition, Prime Minister of Pakistan and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to help get out of the disaster-stricken province.
Students at the coronavirus-infected Wuhan University are from Punjab , Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It should be noted that coronavirus spread from the Chinese city of Wuhan. A large number of Pakistani students who called for their return were trapped in China, after which the government agreed to bring them back.
