Student’s arm fractured as policeman beats him during searching

PESHAWAR: A Peshawar police official allegedly tortured a student in the name of searching him which left his arm fractured.
The victim claimed that Wazir Bagh police station in-charge along other policemen detained him for three hours.
He said he was intercepted by police while he was going from his university to home. He said a police official verbally abused him for not having original documents of the bike, upon which he asked him not to misbehave. He said the police official did not like it so he pointed gun at him and tortured him.
The spokesperson of police said the youth misbehaved with police personnel. However, he said, an inquiry was underway and if they found evidence of torture, they would take strict action against the person responsible for it.
