LAHORE: A strong earthquake jolted parts of Pakistan including Peshawar, Islamabad and Lahore, Mahsehra, Battagram and Chiniot, according to media sources.
The northern areas of the country were jolted by a 6.4-magnitude earthquake, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad.
People rushed out of their homes in panic and started reciting verses from the Holy Quran.
No loss of life and property had been reported from any area of the country due to the earthquake.
According to India Today, tremors were also felt in Delhi and the northern parts of India, including Mathura, Lucknow, Prayagraj, and India-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
