Cricketing legend Javed Miandad lashed out at a sports show for mistreating his impersonater during the airing for the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020.

Miandad claimed in a video on his Youtube channel that programs like these were portraying him in a “dummy-like” manner, thereby disrespecting his services for the nation.

“I have done so much for my country. I have always supported my country. The mimicry should be done in a decent manner, and my name should not be taken directly as it can can promote a false image,” he said.

Miandad referred to the Geo News broadcast of PSL 2020 in which Shehzad Iqbal the host ridicules comedian Mir Mohammad Ali, who plays Miandad’s character.

Although the content is meant to be lighthearted, the cricketer seemed to have taken it seriously.

The former skipper further warned that if they attempt to target the cricketer, he would take legal action.

“I will take legal measures if the attacks persist,” he said.
