KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSE) witnessed a sharp decline as the index drops by more than 1,500 points.
When the market opened on the fourth day of the business week, the index was at 41,186. Due to the lack of business activity, the market saw a sharp decline from the start.
The market lost more than 600 points in the first hour due to a lack of buyers. The stock market remained sluggish on Wednesday, leading to a gradual decline in the index.
The index was down 1,596 points until the latest news from the market. Today, 256.168 million 783 shares were traded in the market.
The index fell by 3.88% overall due to lower business activity.
