State minister demands scrutiny of bank accounts of PML-N, PPP
ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib on Wednesday demanded scrutiny of the bank accounts of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
“Both the parties hid their accounts from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP),” he said while talking to the media in Islamabad.
Farrukh Habib said the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) was the only party which provided details of its bank accounts to the Election Commission of Pakistan. He said the PML-N used the party accounts for money laundering and whitening the black money.
The minister of state said that the people of Azad Kashmir had rejected the politics and narrative of the PML-N and the PPP. Rejecting the allegations of rigging in the AJK polls, he said the parties would have to accept the decision of the people.
Farrukh Habib said Prime Minister Imran Khan had proved himself as the true advocate of oppressed Kashmiri people. On the other hand, he said, the opposition parties were defeated because of their narrative as they did not speak against RSS ideology or extremist Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
