KARACHI: A staff member of Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed, tested positive for the coronavirus, media reported Tuesday.
The worker, identified as Ahsaan, has tested positive for the disease according to reports. Since last week he had suffered from coronavirus symptoms, and was on leave. Tests of the chief justice and his family were carried out after receiving his coronas test report. The test results proved negative.
Meanwhile tests have also been carried out on other judges and staff members serving in the Islamabad Registry.
So far, the country has 5,782 reported cases of coronavirus while 96 deaths have been registered. At least 1,378 people recovered from the illness.
In Sindh, 2, 826 in Punjab, 800 in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 231 in Balochistan, 131 in Islamabad, 233 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 43 cases in Azad Kashmir, more than 1,500 cases have arisen.
