SSU commandos deployed in all districts of Karachi
Karachi: SSU commandos have been deployed in all districts of the city in view of rising street crimes in Karachi.
Addressing the SSU commandos deployed at various crime hotspots in Karachi, DIG Security Dr Maqsood Ahmed said that protection of life and property of citizens is our top priority.
DIG Security Dr Maqsood Ahmed said SSU commandos should be proud that senior officers and the government have once again shown confidence in them to tackle the rise in street crimes.
He directed the commandos to deal with criminals with iron fists while treating the citizens with kindness and gentleness while on duty, which would help in projecting a positive image of police among the people.
Dr. Maqsood Ahmed said that it is worth mentioning here that on the direction of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, it was decided to deploy SSU commandos along with motorcycle squads at various crime hotspots and sensitive places of the city.
He added that the decision was taken in view of the current situation of rising street crimes in the city, adding that the commandos would maintain law and order in various areas as well as assist the local police in taking timely action against street crimes.
