Karachi: Multan Sultans defeated Quetta Gladiators by 6 runs in a thrilling match of Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Multan Sultans scored 174 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Shan Masood played an aggressive 88-run innings for Multan Sultans, his innings included 6 fours and 4 sixes. Sohaib Maqsood and Rossouw scored 21 runs respectively while captain Muhammad Rizwan returned to the pavilion without opening an account. For Quetta Gladiators, Mohammad Hasnain took 2 wickets while James Faulkner took 1 wicket.
On the other hand, the batting line-up of Quetta Gladiators faltered in the beginning. Middle-order batsman Ben Duckett played a responsible innings of 47 runs. Quetta Gladiators, who started the game slowly, faced a shortage of balls in the last moments of the match.
Captain Sarfraz Ahmed scored 21 runs off 23 balls. However, thanks to Iftikhar Ahmed’s aggressive innings, the team came close to victory, but the Sultans’ excellent bowling performance snatched the victory away from them.
