Special train of 30 coaches will depart from Lahore to Chaman on Sunday

LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid on Saturday said a special train of 30 coaches will depart from Lahore to Chaman on Sunday (tomorrow).
Addressing a news conference in Lahore, he said the train will have two medical coaches for dealing with any emergency arising out of coronavirus on the way.
The minister said 12,000 rupees each and ration bags will be given to Railways coolies on Sunday (tomorrow).
He said Railways employees will be paid salary and pension on time even though the train operation is closed and income-generation process is affected due to coronavirus pandemic.
Pakistan Railways is contributing Rs50 million to the novel coronavirus fund (COVID-19) for PM Imran Khan, the federal minister declared on Saturday.
“We have decided to donate one-day income of all our labourers and three-day income of all our officers to the PM’s fund,” said Sheikh Rasheed.
He said he had donated Rs3,000 bags to Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa to distribute to coolies in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
