Special committee established to prevent child abuse and violence in KPK
PESHAWAR: In order to prevent rising incidents of child abuse and violence in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, immediate legislation has been declared.
A 13-member special committee has been established which is headed by Speaker KP Mushtaq Ghani and includes ministers, governments and opposition members.
The committee has been established to review existing rules and propose tougher rules in the additional case, the declaration further said. It is yet to make a speedy hearing of the rape case and make recommendations to provide immediate justice to the affected family.
The declaration mentions that the committee will prepare the report within a month and submit it to the Assembly. The consultants will also discuss with scholars, experts in law and psychologists in the recommendations.
They will also direct the committee to bring reform issues with strict rules.
