LAHORE: A special committee has been set up on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar, to look into the matter of a private school girl’s alleged harassment case. The committee is to be informed on Tuesday morning.
Punjab Minister for School Education Dr. Murad Raas has said that authorities will add anti-harassment clauses in private schools and teachers’ license act. He expressed his views while addressing a meeting with Child Protection and Welfare Bureau’s (CPWB) chairperson Sarah Ahmed when they were exchanging views on sexual harassment cases at a private school. He further added that school education department was working closely to introduce law and order to cease pestering and to include anti-harassment clauses to teachers’ license act.
Dr. Raas further added that the teachers and administration of Lahore Grammar School (LGS) were not available and were not dealing with the problem or responding to the official operation on the molestation case. He said “We will not allow them to hide and strict action will be taken over it.”
Chief Minister Buzdar has voices that all aspects found guilty in this case will be made accountable.
Chief Minister Buzdar and CPWB’s Chairperson has joined hands to work against harassment cases at schools and to deal with the situation stringently.
