Special Air Arabia flight brings back Pakistanis stuck in Sharjah
On Wednesday morning a special flight from the United Arab Emirates brought back 215 stranded Pakistanis to the region.
The people had been stuck in Sharjah and brought back via a G547 flight from Air Arabia. They landed in Karachi, at Jinnah International Airport.
The passengers were tested for the novel coronavirus, and their medical tests were conducted according to government released SOPs. A Civil Aviation Authority team also hygienized and sprayed them with a disinfectant.
The passengers will be detained for 14 days at a quarantine center where they will again be screened for the novel coronavirus.
As a precautionary measure to contain the deadly pandemic, the Government had suspended all international flight operations in the region.
However, because of this, Pakistanis stuck abroad are being brought back by the government through special flights.
