 SPB declares all banks will operate from 09:00 am to 5:30 pm starting today

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan has reported that all banks will work from 09:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from tomorrow (Monday) as it had prior decreased business timing due to coronavirus.

An official circular has also been issued in this regard which indicates, Monday to Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (with petition/mid-day break from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.) while Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (with petition/mid-day break from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.).

According to the circular, all banks/MFBs are instructed to guarantee consistency concerning the mentioned timings.
