Sohail Akhtar blames poor batting for Qalandars’ consecutive defeats

ABU DHABI: Lahore Qalandars skipper Sohail Akhtar has blamed poor batting performance for Lahore Qalandars’ consecutive defeats in the Abu Dhabi-leg of the Pakistan Super League-6.
Lahore Qalandars, who were on top of the points table when they arrived in Abu Dhabi, have won only first two matches out of their last six PSL-6 matches. Now they are on the verge of elimination from the tourney and the only chance that they have depends on Karachi Kings’ defeat from Quetta Gladiators in the next game.
Sohail Akhtar said that the bowlers performed quite well, however they could not get a reasonable support from the batting side.
He said his team had splendid winning momentum in Pakistan, but they lost that momentum abroad.
This should be noted that Lahore Qalandars reached the semi-final stage last year for the first time under Sohail’s captaincy.
