TANK: Social media has become source of reuniting a mentally challenged man with his family after 17 years of his gone missing.

Abdul Salam alias Kaku had lost contact with his family after his mental health condition deteriorated at once. Somehow he arrived at Tank district in Dera Ismail Khan, where he used to roam around. Nobody knew about him and when he was asked about his whereabouts he would tell that he was a resident of Chaman.

He would regularly visit Ayan Juice Corner, drink juice, spend some time here and then leave. Few days ago, owner of the shop, Kamran Mehsood put his picture in a social media group where nephew of the mentally challenged person recognized him and contacted Mehsood to know more details about him.

Abdul Salam’s brothers arrived in Tank, met their brother and took him with them. They said after rigorously searching for their brother they had lost all the hopes and believed that he might have passed away. Then, they said, after seeing the social media post they were over the moon.

Interestingly, as soon as Kaku saw his brothers, he embraced them.
