Social media divided over Firdous Awan’s berating civil servant in public

SIALKOT: Social media users are divided over Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan’s censuring a civil servant in public.
The incident took place when Firdous Awan visited a Fair Price Market in Sialkot and found that the oranges being sold at a stall were not of good quality. She spoke in a loud and harsh tone to the assistant commissioner (AC) that she should have taken care of the matter.
The special aide objected to her absence in the market. To which, the AC said that there was large crowd due to which she was not present inside the market. Firdous said that she should not have cared for herself more than common citizens.
“We also want to sit at peace at home, but we think of the people to whom we are answerable,” said the special assistant.
Some people are supporting Firdous Aapa for being strict against negligence, while the other lot of people does not like it.
