Six robbers gang-rape two women in Burewala
Six armed robbers gang-raped two women in front of their husbands and children during a robbery bid in a house in Burewala tehsil of Punjab.
The incident took place in Chak EB-303 where armed robbers entered a house in the wee hours, tied the men with ropes and raped the wives of two brothers in front of their minor children and other family members.
After that, they fled with Rs50,000 in cash, gold jewelry and other valuables.
Sahuka police have registered a case against anonymous robbers upon the request of family members.
DSP Burewala Meher Waseem told that, three teams have been formed to trace the suspects, adding that the preliminary medical report has confirmed gang-rape with the victims.
On the other hand, Inspector General (IG) Punjab Police Faisal Shahkar has asked the Regional Police Officer (RPO) of Multan to ensure the arrest and punishment of the suspects behind this heinous act.
He said that the perpetrators of domestic violence and rape against women do not deserve any sympathy and strict legal action should be taken against them.
Earlier, on June 4, a pregnant woman was allegedly gang-raped by 5 suspects in Jhelum’s Sadar police station area.
Media reports said that the suspects entered the woman’s house in Sadar area of Jhelum city in Punjab, tortured the woman’s husband and gang-raped the woman after tying her with a rope.
Earlier, two unidentified robbers gang-raped a young girl at gunpoint in front of her father and other family members during a robbery near Chunian Bypass in Patuki area.
The above mentioned victims are still waiting for justice to be served.
