Six legendary cricketers, one prime minister serving players as water boy
There are a significant number of international cricketers who have served players on-field as water boy, but none of them felt disrespected in it, neither has Pakistan’s star wicket-keeper Sarfaraz Ahmed. However, there are people on social media who deeply and without any justification feel that the former skipper has been disgraced by carrying drinks onto field for his teammates.
Here we are sharing some pictures of legendary cricketers and one prime minister who have performed the same feat with pride and dignity.
Ricky Ponting, who is regarded as the finest captain of the game, under whose leadership Australia won World Cup twice, also carried drinks for his teammates. Former Indian wicket-keeper captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who led India to second World Cup victory, can also be seen working as a water boy. Virat Kohli, who needs no introduction, is seen smiling towards players while bringing drinks for them. One picture is of Sachin Tendulkar. The old man carrying green bottles in red container is Scott Morrison, ex-Australian prime minister. Another picture is of the most successful batsman of Bangladesh, Mushfiqur Rehman, who is serving water to his colleagues. Even Head Coach and Chief Selector of Pakistan Misbah ul Haq has also admitted to carrying drinks for his teammates after becoming captain.
