Singapore establishes farms to breed tons of mosquitoes

Mosquitoes are considered to be the most detestable pests in the world as they not only irritate you through stinging all around your body but also transmit deadly diseases. You would always want to kill them and do not let them get closer to you. The question here arises that why on earth would anybody want to set up a mosquito farm?

Singapore is establishing farms to breed tons of mosquitoes, but they are not ordinary pests. They are genetically modified male mosquitoes, which are injected a special bacteria and then released into open air. These mosquitoes mate with females which passes the bacteria into them and bottles up a range of viruses including Zika, malaria and dengue. The bacteria also sterilizes the females so that they can no longer reproduce babies.

Why Singapore Loves Mosquitoes!

Trust me, you have never seen anything like this in your life.Trust me, you will want to have a Mosquito Factory in your country after watching this video. Thank you so much to NEA Singapore for explaining the process to me – and for being patient with me! This is my favorite Planet Warrior Episode so far!

A report has revealed that mosquitoes kill more people every day than sharks do in a century. More than 100 million people annually get affected by dengue virus and over 10,000 people die from mosquito bites.

To counter this enigma scientists and researchers have found its antidote. So the main purpose of these farms is to fight bad mosquitoes. The mosquitoes released from the farms do not bite human beings. The mosquito factories in Singapore can create tens of thousands of mosquitoes every day.

This also shows the statement to be true that “love kills”.
