Negative remarks regarding Sindh made by Shehzad Iqbal, Geo TV channel’s anchorperson, triggered wrath of Sindhi youth who used social media platforms soon after his program, Naya Pakistan, was aired to register their protest.

While hosting Naya Pakistan, Shehzad Iqbal said,

“Karachi will be made an exemplary province.”

Here is what he had said,

Who knew his remarks would hurt millions of Sindhis across the globe. Out of rage, the Sindhi-speaking residents of the province have decided to boycott Geo TV and made #SindhBoycottsGeo to trend on Twitter.
