Sindh terminates NOC condition for businesses exempted from lockdown

The Sindh government has directed that all companies declared to be excluded from the lockdown ban do not need to furnish any undertakings or have to obtain any NOC or permission from the authorities.

Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Ali Shallwani terminated the condition of taking NOC and undertaking from the exempt entities after which corporation, industrial activities and restaurants could begin their work without submission of paper.

Commissioner Karachi issued an administrative order for business, industry and restaurants under which all industries, restaurants, business people must adhere to the rules and regulations issued by the Home Department and warned that Deputy Commissioners would take immediate action if SOPs are violated.

The federal government has prolonged the country’s lockdown until April 30 but certain companies have been allowed to operate with security measures, which must follow the terms and conditions.

The total number of cases of coronavirus in Pakistan jumped to 8418 on Monday with 176 deaths confirmed in the region.
