KARACHI: Sindh Rangers personnel have been targeted five times in nine days across the province.
On Jun 10, a Rangers mobile van in Gulistan e Johar and a Rangers check-post in Manzil Pump, Karachi, were targeted. While on Friday (today), the security force was targeted with hand grenade in Ghotki, Larkana and Karachi’s Liaquatabad area.
Investigation sources said that the three attacks that took place in Karachi were quite similar. All the grenades were made with similar explosive material. “The explosive material used in the attack in Gulistan e Johar and Manzil Pump were same,” they said.

Sources said planning of the four incidents was same. Assailants used motorcycles for attack in all the four attacks, they added.
Investigation sources said that sleeper cells of terrorists could be involved in the attacks. While, the intelligence organization believed that terrorists and nationalists had made nexus to carry out the attacks.
They said that as Rangers personnel had the central role in Karachi operation therefore they were targeted.
