Sindh govt to inoculate all police officials against coronavirus

KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided to inoculate all police personnel across the province against coronavirus.
According to the assistant inspector general of police (AIGP), Welfare, Sindh, all police personnel including officers will be vaccinated.
On Apr 6, the Sindh government had announced to vaccinate 2,000 prisoners aged above 50 years. The inoculation drive began from 7th April.
“The prison population is considered to be ‘vulnerable and neglected’ part of society,” said the Sindh health department.
Ninety-eight more deaths and 5,329 new coronavirus cases have been reported across Pakistan during the last 24 hours.
According to the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) statistics, total death toll from the pandemic has risen to 15,124, whereas the number of active cases of infections is 66,994 in the country.
