The government of Sindh has agreed to establish a hospital for infectious diseases in Karachi, advisor to the chief minister Murtaza Wahab announced on Twitter.
The minister said in a video message that the government is working on building a 400-bed hospital which will be completed and opened to the public soon.
This hospital will be one of a kind in Pakistan and will look after patients with multiple infectious diseases, Wahab said adding that the facilities for treating patients with coronavirus were also built at the hospital.
There will be about 100 ventilators installed as well.
Wahab assured the government had been working on its full capacity to support people as much as it could in this time of crisis. Instead of blaming us, he said, we ask the federal government to support us in these emergency times.
