Sindh govt seeks Pak Army’s help in implementing Coronavirus SOPs

KARACHI: The Sindh government has written a letter to the Interior Ministry seeking the services of the Pakistan Army.
The letter has been written by the Home Department of Government of Sindh.
The letter said the services of the Pakistan Army were needed to assist the civil administration in implementing the Corona SOPs.

“The exact nature of deployment of troops and equipment will be communicated in due course of time after carrying out requisite assessment in consultation with quarters concerned,” read the letter.
On April 24, the Pakistan Army was deployed to impose Covid-19 SOPs in Islamabad on request of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The Islamabad administration and Pak army officials reached out to different areas of Islamabad to ensure the implementation of Covid-19 SOPs.
