Sindh govt revises coronavirus restrictions for 15 days
KARACHI: The Sindh government has revised coronavirus restrictions . The Home Department has issued a notification in this regard.
According to the notification regarding coronavirus restrictions , wearing of mask will be compulsory at public places. Tourism will be allowed for vaccinated individuals under strict COVID protocols. Serving of meals/ snacks during inflight travelling for domestic airlines is banned.
Market/ business activities to continue till 10:00 pm, instead of 8:00 pm. All the management, staff and customers have been advised to follow COVID standard operating procedures.
Essential services such as pharmacies, medical facilities, vaccination centers, petrol pumps, CNG stations, LPG shops, dairy product shops, tandoors as well as standalone grocery stores, shops of fish, meat, vegetable/ fruit vendors, e-commerce and bakeries will continue without restriction of timings.
Sunday will be observed as closed day for Karachi, while Friday will be observed as closed day for other districts of Sindh.
50 percent of passengers will be allowed in passenger buses and 70 percent in trains. The shrines can be opened with the permission of the local administration and the endowment department. Opening of the facilities of parks and swimming pools will be allowed with 50% of the capacity. Only vaccinated people will be allowed in indoor gymnasiums.
Cinemas and indoor games will be banned. 400 people will be allowed in the outdoor wedding ceremony. 200 people will be allowed in indoor weddings and other events. Offices will be allowed to open with 100 percent staff. Takeaway and home delivery will be allowed 24 hours.
Indoor dining will be allowed with 50 percent capacity till midnight. Only those who hold COVID vaccination card will be allowed indoor dining.
The new order will take effect from September 16 to 30.
